Thang Bui-Nguyen

I am a software engineer for a living, and a wannabe computer scientist.

Outside of work, I do various pastimes. I enjoy anime and manga for entertainment. I do self-hosting and grind computer related content (mostly books and videos) for self-development. I document my journey at this Notion.

Experience

Industry: I am currently working at Squarepoint Capital based in Great Britain. I previously worked at Microsoft (2025, Viet Nam) and interned at Amazon Web Services (2023, Seattle) and Snoonu (2021, Qatar).

Academics/Research: I got a bachelor's degree from Carnegie Mellon Qatar. I assisted in a few research projects at Carnegie Mellon Qatar and Qatar Computing Research Institute during my undergraduate studies.
